This is simply awful. I admit I ordered 2 of the 4 $5.00 items. One for my father and one for my brother. I used each pomo code once on each item. I thought it would be okay.

My father said he couldn’t believe it and if I actually was able to pick up the items, he would order his new lawn care items from Northern. He’s staring a new business next year and needs over $5000.00 in merchandise. I should tell him to place his order and then cancel just like they did. But two wrongs don’t make it right. I will join in contacting the BBB beause Northern changed the rules after the fact. This is awful, I agree.

I talked to 3 customer service people (1 – 800 – 221 – 0516) and one customer service manager (1 – 952 – 894 – 9510) and they will not help out at all even though they sent confirmation numbers. Also, I received an e-mail saying that the item I ordered was not available and that I wouldn’t be charged. However, upon looking at their website and talking to a representative I found out that the item is available just not for me on that original order with the coupon code and ship to store option. I have never been in Northern Tool and don’t plan on ever going there. I would rather go to a more reputable place like Lowes. I just have to say God forbid that anyone complaining here should make a mistake. They weren’t as familiar with coupon codes as many companies and they made A MISTAKE.

A mistake that, if they followed through and honored those coupons, may have very well cost some people their jobs. What if it had been your job cut to accomodate all of the claims? Or your husbands? They have always been EXREMELY accomodating regarding sales, trade ins and warranties, and even replaced a sale item with a higher value item when an item was out of stock.
